It is kinda hard to believe that there was nothing done to the cheese burger...the french fries maybe.
But I do not really see any proof that the cheesburger is as old as stated.

Also it is not stated how it is kept...it is stated no shrink wrap or anything. Where do u keep them? The fridge?

As for the french fries...there is too much saturated fat. lmao but it is real food. and I still don't see the oil still on the fries...I kept french fries over 6 months...they were not oily to the touch but hard as a rock. lol

Mc Donalds is a tough mother fucker. This only proves that their food is superior, and doesn't follow any rules such as "time"

In fact, i'm gonna head over to the drive through and get myself an Angus burger right now. Mmmm mmmmm!

  • One of the best ...

One of the best ways to preserve food (besides freezing it) is to salt it. Of course, you should boil the salt out of the meat before you eat it - so you don't ingest all the salt. So at the very least the McDonald's food is too salty (and that IS bad for you). OK, and maybe there's other preservatives in it too.

"Why doesn't it break down?" she says!

Worst thing for me - she is trying to sell a book about food but seems to know nothing about food preservation.

    @Kalle72
the fact that is does not rot actually does prove a point. have you seen the video of 2month old mcdonalds burger and fries and normal homemade frie&burger? The lady wants to tell you that they put so many preservatives in the fries, beef patty, and buns , it can really harm you. do you know that it takes months (like 10 or so, im not that sure) from slaughtering the cow and processing the meat for that beef patty to get into ur mouth? mcdnlds is good, but a lot will harm u.

  • An entire bulb of ...

An entire bulb of garlic would almost look the same after 3 years - but inside it would be dry and "bad" on the inside - just the same as the burger.

The best examble is trying to save a piece of pizza (pizza can be "healthy" if it is made the right way).

I'm sure a lot of healthy types of pizzas would age the same way as the burger: The bread would be crisp and dry, the meat (if any) would have shrunk and be black, and the cheese would be hard.

  • I get it: the food ...

I get it: the food doesn't "decompose" within 3 weeks. But WHAT'S THE POINT? That doesn't make the food unhealthy. (I agree: McDonald's probably isn't "healthy", but the simple point that it isn't rotting proves NOTHING).

Try saving some boiled rice or spaghetti in a lunchbox for three years! Or what about corn flakes or bread? What about saving some nuts, garlic or a bottle of good red wine?

  • well I have seen a ...

well I have seen a lot of fries which were waist after a few minutes and they don't look like the 4 year old fry..they look worse. They look soggy and they sort of shrink so it's impossible that she is holding a 4 year old fry! also maybe the distributer changed from 4 years ago to nowadays...and mcdonalds fries are made by mcain if I am not mistaken...which is a well known label.
