Off Roving and Rover Specialties are pleased to announce the availability of true under vehicle protection for the Range Rover Sport.

These sliders are much sleeker, and more discreet than traditional sliders. They had to be. The elegance of the Range Rover Sport is such that we wanted esthetically pleasing lines which complement the lines of the vehicle.

I believe the music is from the movie Buena Vista Social Club. Not sure of the artist.
This is good footage and I realize your promoting a product but the "across the whole screen" text becomes annoying pretty quick.

  • Not sure about that ...

Not sure about that comment, at least as it relates to the new/independent suspension Rovers. I have routinely done 45 degree side angle obstacles and terrains [for some distance] with no fear of rolling.

  • even with the best ...

even with the best kits out there they still have VERY LITTLE flex. And fyi pumping up the shocks does NOT add flex, it actually takes what little it has away(as you can see in the vid). Thats why they so easily roll, on obsticles flex keeps you level. We like to call them LR's(Land Rollers).

  • Regarding "flex", ...

Regarding "flex", not sure if you mean wheel articulation [already answered] or structural rigidity. If the latter, then no flex at all. You can be fully articulated on two opposing wheels [the other two corners off the ground] and you can still operate the windows, doors, etc.

  • From "access" ride ...

From "access" ride height/full suspension compression through "normal" ride height and on through "off-road" height, there is about 6". Add to that 11" of wheel travel. Then add to that extra "extended" and "super-extended" right height modes add another 4" of clearance. sick ground clearance!

  • The ground ...

The ground clearance is unimpeded. The fit flush to the frame rails, so the thickness of the metal plate is all you add [1/8"]. Again, no loss of ground clearance whatsoever.

  • I always thought ...

I always thought that a range rover was good for light duty wheeling and steep slopes but that was just from looking at it. now that I look into it, they have all sorts of offroading tech and from seeing your vids I realize that there good offroad. Ill always personnally like hummers more (hummers seem to be a love/hate thing) but its good to see a rover offroad. How much ground clearence does it have? doesnt look like much. also does it have good flex? how much wter can it take?

the music is cool. Rock sliders my arse!!! You just kill your ground clearance by vital inches. Rubbish idea unless it's just a shopping car or for the school run. Musik really is dead cool though.

  • Beautiful and ...

Beautiful and elegant car. I would like to have one. But indeed, when you're going to real terrain, you will need the underbody protection and proper tires. That film realy shows, what a Range Rover can reach.
