Part Two shows the completion of the knife. Based on a car timing chain, I cut it into pieces, tack welded the pieces into a billet, then heated and pressed with my home built 24 ton hydraulic press.

    Inventive choice of material. Timing chains are made resist a lot of wear so I imagine the ned product is rather functional.
    The pattern though, really makes it.

    Yes! My very first forging was a 1 inch wire rope. All done with a hammer (I didn't have the press at that stage), I fashioned the finished blade into a long carving knife which we use often. I gather by your name you forge knife blades?
