Jim Beasley Jr. flies his P-51D Mustang "Bald Eagle" over the skies of the Millville Airport at the 2005 Wheels and Wings Airshow on May 22, 2005.     You're correct, BUT you can't compare the two since the Messerschmit was jet powered and in a totaly different category than prop powered.

    I would argue that quite a bit..what about planes such as the...Spitfire, Zero, Lavochkin La-5, Yak 9U, Sea Fury, among others, kind of hard to say it was the best ever isnt it.
