havent you learn yet that there is no one who is able to define exactly how is the correct way to play the guitar?there are no standards in creativity!no restrictions!take for example healy,andress,friedman,garsed,stanley jordan,donahue,hemelrich,hedges they all have an unorthodox style of playing but no one can blame em! plus this form that you say it is horrible is the only suitable for him and maybe the conventional form wont help him to perform this magnificent playing style that you admire!

They definitely broke the mold when they made Erik. Some of the most original sounds I've ever heard in my 50 years of guitar listening.

he tends to use a sort of latin soul an rhythm in his music aswell as tone but uses an almost alternative sort of way he caresses his chord an notes.

this guy has taken nearly every sound you can make with a guitar and made it to pure brilliance. He is a genius. Just watching his hands without sound is still amazing. He made that guitar his bitch

It is not often that one gets a floating sensation when listening to music. So I guess this is something far more complicated then a guitar piece for one floats away and is lost within the beautiful harmonics.
