RESONANCE EFFECTS FOR EVERYONE TO SHARE Test 1

  • The setup is as ...

The setup is as follows: An 18-volt battery (say 12V + 6V) with a variable resistor connecting to a large cap, say 30,000 uF-25V (The cap simulates your 12V battery). The output from the cap connects to your circuit.

The trick is to adjust the variable resistor so that the big cap voltage stays at 12 volts.

You get this: 18-volt bat -> steady current flow -> big cap sitting at 12V -> pulsing current -> circuit.

By definition, the steady current has to equal the average pulsing current.

Damn, YouTube ate my posting. I'm curious, do you know what a transformer turns ratio is and how to measure it? I was getting into it and the posting was eaten...

The secret to measuring any arbitrary current consumption including allocating for all reactive load effects is to turn the unmeasurable arbitrary AC or pulsing DC current waveform into an equivalent smooth measurable DC current with a few simple tricks involving a large capacitor and a bleeder resistor.

  • Hi Drevtoobe, ...

    Hi Drevtoobe,

thanks for posting your suggestions. The USB scope is 35 volts max and probes have X1 and X10 setting. The probe was set at X10 and scope input was set at 50 volts. I'm considering getting a X100 probe if I continue these tests. Please do make your current calculations suggestion but I may not understand as my EE knowledge is minimal.

    Thanks for posting and sharing.

  • Hi ebisevac, I did ...

    Hi ebisevac,

I did no calculations and have very little electronic knowledge. I simply stayed with the same coil and tried different capacitance and did a frequency sweep until I found the best reacting capacitance to charged the storage cap to the highest voltage while also keeping input miliamps as low as possible.

  • I am not sure what ...

I am not sure what maximum voltage input spec is on your USB scope. You could check the transformer turns ratio first, and then extrapolate what the secondary voltage would be for the 25 volt square wave on the primary. If all is safe, then you could connect your ground up to the opposite side of the secondary and see the proper waveform.

You seem to be interested in making accurate measurements of the high frequency pulsing current consumption. If you want, I can suggest a way to so this.

  • Hey Luc, when you ...

Hey Luc, when you display the second waveform it looks like a triangle wave more than a sine wave. Note however, that you left the ground of the second probe unconnected and floating. This likely means that the waveform you measured with your second probe is indeterminate. The scope probe is meant to measure the voltage across the two probe connections, you should not leave the ground connection floating.

    Hi bodziobran,

if I add a bulb in series on the Earth side the bulb will not light no matter how small the ma. I tried it with a diode and it has visible light.

I have posted a new updated video (test 2)

Congratulations of replicating Tesla radiant energy receiver. Please, put a tiny bulb (probably 75mA or lower) on wire coming from ground to check if this is an electron current flowing to fill capacitor negative terminal.

  • Nice work.Have you ...

Nice work.Have you tryed connecting one leg of the cap to the primary of a transformer and the other leg of the primary to the disconnected leg of the diode and then measure the voltage of the secondary of the transformer. It will be interesting to see if it is a true ac or dc that is charging the cap.
