This was the first really great guitar number in Europe. Fantastic, and never repeatable. I listen to it (even now) almost every day. I,ve played it in year 1961 and 1962 on stage with my band, super-succesfull then in Croatia (then YU).

I agree with neverneverland earth,,,this is good but Jorgen Ingmann's version was by far the best,,a shame it is not posted. Another great guitar song was 'guitar boogie shuffle' by the virtues and it also stands alone against all other versions.

I loved it when I was a kid, and I still do. This is a better version than the one performed by Al Caiola. I still have the album. I particularly enjoy the "Apache" drum in the middle and towards the end. As realistic as it can be.

it's amazing how Sir Mix-A-Lot went on to use this song to make "Jump on it"

this is cool, but the big American hit version was by Jorgen Ingmann (1961). it had cooler effects and was played just as well..

The one and only hank Marvin. Perfect lead guitarist. Clean guitar sound. Handles the stratocaster beautifully. Unbelievable. Keep on playing.
