  • Whats your problem ...

Whats your problem man? It's hard to get real flamenco instruction here in the states. I understand where you're coming from. MalagueƱa is generally in 3/3. I can see by your videos that you know about flamenco. I can see that you are good. But you should give positive constructive criticism rather than be mean about it.

  • First of all, I ...

First of all, I respect the mature response. Perhaps I got a bit carried away, but you are wrong about the 4/4 rhythm.
Listen to yourself in 2:26. That is CLEARLY a 3/3 rhythm, but you often switch between 4/4 and 3/3, which is why I said you didn't know what you were doing.
Flamenco's are VERY strict about what to call flamenco and what not.
Heart and feeling is very important, but if you don't understand the rhythms you will NEVER be taken seriously by any real flamenco guitarist.
    Good Luck.

  • Flamenco has ...

Flamenco has multiple major influences: Jewish, Arabic and Greek harmonies can all be found in the different palo's. The gypsies are the ones that carried on the music.

You're the one who knows little about flamenco. The Malaguena is usually linked with the verdiales or the Malaguenas abandolaos which ARE rythmic AND in 3/3. This piece follows that path. Similar to how Tientos often changes into Tangos.

I STUDY it, so I know what I'm talking about.

Man, you are the biggest IDIOT when it comes to writing your comments, you are using the wrong vocabulary.
Go back to school and get yourself a proper teacher to teach you English, and another one for flamenco.
And what part of "never come back" you did not understad?

  • Sefokaya, whats ...

Sefokaya, whats your problem man? do you even know what flamenco is? it originated as the music of the gypsies! do you think they knew what a 3/3 rhythm was? or they had a specific way of holding the guitar?

this is not the easiest of the pieces to play, and I dont agree with what you have said regarding the 3/3 rhythm. in fact malaguena is a cante libre, meaning it has no specific rythm pattern.

amirhtlusa, well done, the piece is beautiful, I wish I could play it that well!

Guys, please keep the language clean.

first of, thanks for both of your comments. SefoKaya, sorry to disappoint you man if this video didn't live up to your standards. From my point of view Flamenco, is only a music of heart, and its all about inner feelings. honestly i dont care much about the 3/3 rythm, or anything (in fact the malaguena song that this is built off of, is a 4/4 duet). Please enjoy the video if you want or dont, I've just put it up hoping that some will.

    Whaahahahahahahahaha.
You don't know S**t about flamenco.

Get yourself a proper teacher, THEN come talk S**t to me. It CANNOT be called a Malaguena if there's no 3/3 rythm in it.
    That's why it's FAKE.
    Get it?
