  • yeah, there are ...

yeah, there are some nice national parks in the large rocky mountains, and the environment and climate are also perfect. Bears and wolves are also in siberia so it wouldn't be to big a problem for carnivore concurrention. With the other cats i'm not sure. will also mean more nature tourism in north america and maybe an increase in park size. But because tigers don't really ''fit'' in the american nature I don't think it would happen...

its so sad to see these beautiful animals living like this. people realy need to stop cutting down their fucking trees. thank god for people like that scientists. why dont they put some siberian tigers in north america? they have good good prey for them elk, bison, dear, boar and moose. the wolves, cougars, bears and lynx are all tough and will learn to live with the tigers. perfect habitat imo.

props to the Chinese scientists for taking the initiative to restore the siberian tiger. nice documentary. and some idiots on this website were bashing the chinese for feeding live animals to the siberian tigers. THERE'S A PURPOSE!!!! its for the tigers to regain or keep their natural hunting skills. if you keep feeding them sliced meat, they'll just become pansies and will never learn to kill for their own food. i really hope this project works out.

  • Wild Siberian tiger ...

Wild Siberian tiger(s?) went on rampage in Manchuria, China. It already resulted in one human fatality, plus others maimed (not to mention loss of livestocks).
What bothers me is the Chinese public sentiment toward this incident. The public almost universally wanted revenge, calling for the extermination of tigers. This contrasts sharply with India & SE Asia, where peoples remain cool despite regular tiger attacks.

A very nice video. Re-wilding training should start with siberian tigers soon, as bengals and south china tigers have successfully been re-wilded, now it is their larger cousin's turn.

  • Canada could be an ...

Canada could be an interim option, as there're many preys the tigers are familiar to, such as moose, elk, & feral pig. White-tailed deer could also make an acceptable sika substitute. However, there's the risk of tigers contracting exoctic diseases that they have no immunity to.
