  • Absolutely true, ...

Absolutely true, saw Glenn hughes acouple of years ago, it was a farce. he is probably the most self-obsessed full of him self joke I´ve ever seen.
Askin the few people in the crowd " Please call me papa" and pleading people not to smoke even though it was outdoors...
Please dont smoke if you want me to perform my best...he whined
    What a joke
But purple and Coverdale rocked, saw them twice in the 70´s

  • Hate to bust ...

Hate to bust anyones bubble...But Glenn Hughes sucked in Deep Purple. He's probably one of the biggest hams ever to occupy a stage and his playing was boring due to his constant attempts to upstage everyone else. Seriously, I bought Come taste the Band when it was originally released. Not bad, but Bolin's drug problems flawed the band..Add Hughes' attempt to hog the spotlight all of the time and you have a doomed band. Give me DP mk 11 anyday. Glenn hughes was a joke. Not a band player at all

Right on bro! Hughes-Coverdale-Bolin were great together. CTTB is my all time favorite DP album. YKOM is my fav song from that LP. MK 4 rocks!

  • Would kill to hear ...

Would kill to hear what Coverdale and Hughes could do if they recorded and toured together one more time. They both sound as good today as they did in the MK IV days.

I think Blackmoore never played this song...The guitar sounds nothing like him...Its Tommy Bolin. And Hughes /Coverdale is great singing team...Respect!

  • The most under ...

The most under rated version of DP play their best song. If Glen & Tommy hadn't been in the grips of their respective drug habits, the DP Mk IV could have gone on to achieve things just as great as the preceeding line ups of DP did.
