    This song, and the speech that precedes it were, and still are, extremely important, especially in these times. The words that speak most to me as a younger person are the line, "because blind faith in your leaders can get you killed," and we are seeing a lot of this now with the Iraq war and all of the possible other conflicts. I'm amazed that Bruce hasn't played this at all on his tour, not even in the D.C. show.

You should read a book about wars written by GINO STRADA (an italian surgeon who works as a volunteer in afganistan) called "green parrots" to understand what wars are good for: absolutely nothing! the way bruce sings this song succeds in express what i feel aboout war. Why had he to go to Vietnam? to kill people? To get killed? To dodge the draft was the only way for not being a killer or come back in a coffin!
