Clerks was awesome! I like Kevin Smith, don't get me wrong. I want to see something like Clerks or Chasing Amy that blows me away again. I didn't realize how funny a speaker he is until I started watching these YouTube clips of him.

Agreed, his older movies were great, and Clerks 2 was good, but his movies in the middle, like Jersey Girl and S**t , were kinda lame.

kevin smith is a truly great writer/director! he's original and can make great movies about nothing at all!i can asure you all that he could write a godfather script and direct it. he is one of the best one around these days. the man chose this kind of movies because lots of people like this kind of humor.lots of people can see themselfs in characters.he writes about things he knows..people he knows he's great and smart enough to see that these movies make money
