    after watching this movie at least ten times because it is so moving i thought that i would analyze it for those who are confused(ppl who don't get why paulie is sad and angry.)

    paulie and tori had been dating for years. ld never said how long but there was a scene after tori sleeps with jake when tori said "we can't do this anymore we have to grow out of it it's just not right anymore" which implies that tori and paulie had been lover for a long time.

    i hope tori's conscience kills her after paulie's death. ok, so maybe i'm exaggerating. in my opinion, tori dumping paulie isn't a very bad idea (no offense to homo/bisexuals;PEACE!! :)), however, she could've done it in a nicer way(????). i mean, wasn't tori so mean to her??     i cant blame tori- all the other comments seem to- but i feel sorry for both of the paulie is lost in her own love and loneliness and tori feels trapped between the pressure of her parents family and friends (wheter real or not)
    its a sad ending- but it showed how painfl true love can be- and it reflected the main point of the story well- hiding ur true feelings can only lead to more pain and suffering.
    loved the film. and the ending however sad

    I really love this movie. It about real, real love..Tory is so weak..she should stand up for her own feelings and her love..because she really loves Paulie and I think, maybe Tory's afraid of her feelings for a girl..her partens are important too, but I think it more about what Tory feels..Paulie's so sensible but she tries to hide behind a wall and beeing cool..she gets lost in her own love and she so lonely because nobody really knows her and she never had real parents what's a big problem
