Let the Right One In Trailer (TADFF 2008)

  • Needs more publicity, something special

This flic was easily my favorite of the year. It has such a nice mix of elements. Now, I know us Americans are generally lazy concerning Subtitles, but the lines are sparse enough that reading them here does not affect one's viewing.

I think the film might benefit from a little less emphasis on "action" type cuts in the trailer, as the heart of the film really is the relationship between leeds, and their motivations / developments. In fact the most poignant aspect is how it so perfectly captures their innocence and reality -which I've not witnessed to such an extend in any other picture thus far.

Crouching Tiger managed a huge success even with subtitles, so there is no reason such a work of art as this cannot achieve the same. Please for the movie-goer's sakes, ramp up the publicity on this masterpiece. The masses deserve to see it in it's pristine state -in native Swedish audio, English subs- before the remake strips it of all the elements which perfect it.

  • The only place in ...

The only place in Florida where you can view it now is at the Enzian Theater in Maitland, which is right above Orlando. I just saw it a few hours ago and it was worth the trip. The ending was freaking amazing. Your jaw WILL drop.

  • Not really... have ...

Not really... have you read the book? It's taken straight out from there in which he says "Skrik som en gris, då" = "So, squeal like a pig.". So yes, perhaps a bad translation, but at least it stays true to the book. :)
