    To answer your question, no. The Wifi connection is free. ( You do however need to have a wireless internet connection in range to use ). You may or may not be able to use the WiFi without wireless in your house. If any of your neighbours use wireless internet, and have left it unprotected, poach there conection and your ready to go.
