Chico, a la verdad no sé por qué lado te picó mi comentario que creí era inofensivo, para que vengas con esa respuesta contradictoria ya que a tí sí te gusta que piensen que naciste en PRico al ver tu webpage. Ah, oye, y de paso eso que tienes ahí que dice Gabriel García Márquez sobre los puertorriqueños es un PLAGIOOOOOO! Ni lo escribió García Márquez ni es sobre los puertorriqueños. ¿Sabes lo que es plagio, verdad? Ah, y en todos los lados nacen ignorantes, aquí, en Cuba y en Puerto Rico.

La gente se valora por lo que son en su caracter Individual no por ser de aqui o de alla. A nadie le Importa si nacistes en Cuba o en EU quizas entre ustedes mismos si sea una virtud! pero Igual onosco Cubanos nacido en la Isla que son maravillosos y algunos nacidos aca que no saben ni como se llaman! creo que lo Importante es como tu te sientas si no te gusta que piensen que nacistes en tu pais natal anadele "American" para que te sientas mejor! a nadie debe de Importarle eso!

Perhaps Cuban Americans born in this great country say it that way to denote that they are proud of their ancestry, such as my children. As to myself, same reasoning as Cubano de Placetas.

Jamas!escuchado a un Boricua nacido en EU llamarse Puerto Rican American por el contrario los Boricuas nacidos en EU mienten diciendo que nacieron en la Isla ya que tienen una fama malisima!!! en especial los Newyoricans,los de los Angeles,Chicago,boston etc.. prefieren decir que vinieron desde pequenos!de alla. Ademas No tiene logica ni sentido decir Puero Rican American ya que es obvio que si eres Puertorriqueno se sabe que eres ciudadano Americano!nacido en la Isla,n el exterior o en la luna

Stating that you are Cuban-American (instead of Cuban) simply expresses that you are of Cuban origin yet live in the US. Please don't confuse proper terminology for lack of pride about Cuban heritage. By the way, I live in Puerto Rico and know for a fact that Puerto Ricans who live in the US call themselves Puerto Rican-Americans, while those on the island do not.

Some say Cuban American just like other say Mexican American, or African American, what indicate they are american from Cuban or other origin. I myself say "Cuban from the United States" when identify myself traveling abroad. The reason is that I do not want to be confused with the cubans from the island who travel abroad, who are the communists who still items from airplanes, do not pay for their bills, steal at hotels, etc.

I still dont' understand why Cubans say "Cuban american" what's the diference between a Cuban from the Island and the ones born here, If both parents are Cubans!. If your parents are both cubans you're a Cuban who cares If you have US citizen or not!I never heard a Puerto Rican saying puertorican american It's stupid,I think that when you say "Cuban american" In the bottom of your heart you dont want people to think you came from the Island!because you're not proud of your country!
