You could put it in the oven on very very low (100-140F) and let it keep warm for a few hours. You could also cook it. You can find it on youtube. Search for "crockpot soap"

  • With the olive oil ...

With the olive oil it takes a lot of stirring. The soap turns into a custard type consistency at first when you pour it into the mold. Then it will go through a major chemical reaction. it will actually turn into a gel over a few hours and heat up. It will get very hot and this is why you need to cover the mold up so you can keep in the heat. So please DO NOT put it in the freezer. you want to keep it warm. So cover it with towels and blankets for 1-2 days.

You will need lye (NaOH) but you can use any veggie or animal oil. So you can use crisco to make a good bar of soap if you want... just make sure you re-calculate the amount of lye.

  • You could but it ...

You could but it doesn't make a "good" bar of soap. Each oil adds a different quality to the soap. Coconut and Palm for hardness and lather, Olive and Soybean for moisturizing, Castor oil for big bubbles, etc etc.
