The way I clearly see it is that the man was going to cheat on the first woman but she came home early, so he had to fake complete sudden death. Oldest trick in the book, really. The woman, obviously sad, starts to whine when suddenly the man's date comes in, doing her Ozzy Osbourne imitation because thats probably what turned the man on in the first place. They start to fight and when the first woman starts to scream in that loud voice, the man simply gives up due to bleeding from an ear. Yup.

I believe dani had more emotion in his voice then sarah. i mean don't get me wrong i think sarahs voice is beautiful but this original version had alot of emotion in it. i dunno maybe its just me.

I found this song because of the Cradle of Filth version. It's kind of a notch down from the intensity of the CoF version, and I tend to like extremely theatrical, bombastic music, so I've gotta give the edge to the CoF version. Also, for a death metal band to cover a song like this is brilliant eccentricity!
