My dad (brian fisher) and his friend bill sabine play Ghost riders in the sky, the music its self is being transposed as they play from sheet music. It was written on June 5, 1948 by Stan Jones. [1] A number of versions were also crossover hits on the pop charts in 1949. It has been called by many the "best country/western song ever."
