hello again, RicBNH. have a feeling i will be visiting your generosity a lot for the next few weeks. for some reason this was the first one i wanted to see this year.

I'm quite a bit younger than you, but i've had the same experience...i wore the original broadway record out, and went to the tape. My siblings and i produced our own version of the show in our living room (only three of us), and forced our poor parents to watch (though i'm sure it was all my sibling's fault the show was bad since i was an AWESOME Judas/Annas/Pilate/Herod/Simon/chorus member *sarcasm*)

I know every single word of this rock opera - use to sit in my living room with the headphones on (we didn't have I-pods, etc) lol and listen to the album (no CD's back then, either)

I think the lepers scene has the best song of the whole movie! It's catchy and has a message, i can't really explane but I love it!

Apparently for the temple scene they only did two takes for it because Ted did such a good job trashing things they ran out of stuff for him to trash after two. LOL

I have the strangest obsession with the woman at :59... I think it's the voice, wow.
Great mvoie, I can't wait to see it again. I remember watching it on tv when I was in my early teens, and hoping to see it for sale soon. Till then, just watching it on youtube! :)

I love reading the debates--every other sight seems angry and hurtful.
As for my two cents--I think God/Jesus gave us guidelines to follow. Whether we, individually, do or not is up us.

I have often wondered how that was achieved. I think it all comes down to the human mind being unable to rectify that God and man could be one and the same being without either elevating man beyond his position or debasing God. So, we make distinctions, like Shralla did.
Either that or I'm wrong. Both are equally possible.

They did a really good job on these scenes I love Teds (Jesus) voice and I agree with LadyOfGreen

He was 100% God and 100% man.

Yeah... But I don't think that was the WHOLE point of Jesus's words. I think it was also meant to show that he did have work left to do. He was saying his time was almost over "little left to do", and yet here he is with a crowd of lepers crying to him. It renews his fear that when he leaves what he's done will be mean nothing. It makes him feel that no matter what he does there will always be the suffering and the poor. Which leads us to his addressing god at Gethsemane.

I liked this part in the bible and in the movie Jesus made a good point in the temple. a etmple shouldn't be a market it should be a place where you worship God, if you want a market go somewhere else.
