If you're an RC fanatic, don't forget to subscribe, since I am regularly uploading great video's...

This is Scott Foster's DC-10 that is turbine powered. The plane flies great, but then from nowhere it loses control and goes in to dig a hole.

  • One thing to ...

One thing to remember, these type of builds are not like actual designs which are tested for their stall behaviors...there is very little to know about how they will stall or recover, unless you're willing to take the chances of destroying the model by vigourously testing it in the air to learn the characteristics and behaviors. With that said, no one can state exactly what input from the pilot or correction could've been made to save it. Different plane, different recovery techniques.

  • no i think you will ...

no i think you will find left or right hand circuits depend on wind conditions. u really dont know anything if you dont know this, and yes he tip stalled because he tried to take the turn too tight.if he made a right hand circuit as he should of then he would of made his turn with ease. reply please?

  • LH patterns on rc ...

LH patterns on rc fields is the standards used. What happened there is simple aerodymanics: tip stall occurred because he exceeded the bank limit of that at that particular airspeed. would happen even to a paper airplane, doesn't matter.

if he had been flying correctly as in right hand circuits his final approach would not of been that of an extra 300. Basic Error by the pilot he cant be very good!

  • when the left wing ...

when the left wing stalled, the air flowing over that aleron stopped. The control imput at the time (left turn) became more powerful when only the right side control surfaces had significant control. The big mistake was after the pilot recovered out of the first steep turn. He tried to pull up to early, before there was enough airspeed to give enough lift. He pitched up immediately giving away all chance of saving the plane from its fall.
