Suede - Trash (Coming Up 1997)

i think you got the meanning of the song but that's not the mood of it. Trash makes you fell proud of being "Trash" people...

As Brett once said, it has a very romantic feel in it, which is more evident in the line "Ahhh, you and me yeah!" and in the whole chorus, actually: he's singing to someone and he's trying to make that person proud/happy of being trash as him...

simple, at the same time very metaphorical, but still epic...

i miss 1996 lol... i miss the whole 90's, you know? they rocked



Coming Up was one of their best eras (the best was definetly Dog Man Star era), and although many didn't like the more poppy songs, they were undeniably good, and pulled Suede to the mainstream, where they should had been since the "Suede" album...

this is thier best song, it's not exactly a real Suede song, but it's the best they have ever recorded, the chorus is simply perfect...

This makes me think of Pulp "Common People". The two songs are very similar because they both make you proud to be one of the "common people", actually just "trash". But feels so good to assume it.
