  • She sings it with ...

She sings it with no feeling.
I prefer Angela Gheorghui in this role

  • Renee is still ...

Renee is still incredible. She is simply singing this aria as anyone else would who has never performed it on stage. I think it's done very well.

  • Whooops, ms ...

Whooops, ms Fleming. This is not up to the standards at all. Fleming appears so mainstream one loses interest until she fails to hit numerous tones towards the ending. Personally I prefer Leontyne Price´s interpretation to the overly dramatic Calls. Now go and get me! I will be torn into pieces, I guess...

Es una láastima que al final se desafinara tratando de hacer pianissimos......pero el resto del aria está bien, sin llegar a ser especial!.

  • She actually was ...

She actually was flat on the third note of the "Signor"... but the rest was beautiful...

And please don't ever call Renee Fleming a "bitch"... she's far from it.

Your choice of words is totally low class!! Maybe she doesn't meet your standards, but I doubt you meet her's. Stuff it!

the pitch was not drastically off man lol, she was being very dramatic at the climax to the end as it is a very emotional statement.

  • I don't see how ...

I don't see how anyone can't see emotion in that. Sure, it's not what you'd do in the actual opera, but in a recital setting THAT would look rather ridiculous. I love how her sound seems to be coming from her whole body, not just her mouth. A great singer can do that.

  • I enjoyed her ...

I enjoyed her performance, although my all-time favorite Tosca is Maria Callas. She acts pretty well, but I personally like her voice better in other lighter pieces she does.

And actually, in her book, 'The Inner Voice: The Making of a Singer', Ms. Fleming refers to herself as a lyric soprano (and I would recommend reeading the book). :]

  • I always thought ...

I always thought that spinto's were brighter and were refered as kind of dramatic not by their timbre, but by their similar ability to be heard over an orchestra. But, I admit, I was, for some reason, thinking more soubrette than spinto. Spinto's can have a darker timbre, but usually keep the brightness of a lyric. In a sense, we are both right haha. Sorry for the confusion!
