  • ThinkingBetter: ...

    ThinkingBetter:

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1Corinthians 2:13-16

If you have a bible, I recommend you read the above referenced scripture starting from verse 6.

  • Wow ThinkingBetter. ...

Wow ThinkingBetter...you seem very intelligent; however the comment you just made is utter foolishness. The Word of God has much to say about those who think they are wise by this world's standards.

  • yes the "book" as ...

yes the "book" as you put it does depict violent stories and a total lack of morals but they where placed there for a reason and that reason was to teach what violence and the total lack of morals can do. maybe you should read it before coming to your own conclusion, thats just a thought since reading it could waste your presciouse time. GOD BLESS!!

  • WARNING: Walmart ...

WARNING: Walmart workers, gas station workers, McDonalds workers, nurses and doctors beware of the awesome God's rule this weekend:

    EX 35:2
Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.

You do believe the Bible is indeed God's Bible, don't you? And you do believe Jesus wont wait another 2000 years to come back, right?

LOL, so funny and idiotic :-)

  • I think you've got ...

I think you've got it wrong. Neither are evil, they are simply evil because we see them that way.
In fact, many religions, such as the Nazi party, were concepts made up by humans who chose to do evil.
Plus, I don't think it takes religion in order to be evil or hated, look America's most hated woman. She was an atheist and she chose to do some violent things and diminish other people, even her own children.
We are given choices to do good or evil, religion doesn't have to be a factor.

  • Sing4ever9, it's ...

Sing4ever9, it's funny you can think like that. To me it's not people who are the problem but religion itself.

It's a bit like blaming all Germans for what Hitler did through his massive sick indoctrination. Were all Germans bad just because they got incredibly indoctrinated into a sick philosophy? Of course not.

I respect people equally no matter religion and actually manage a research department with very mixed people in terms of ethnicity and religion. Religion is the evil...not humans!

  • When judgement day ...

When judgement day happens God will look at all believers and say:
"Did all you blind followers really think I enjoyed all your selfish prayers and I would care if you are Christian, Muslim, Jew, Mormon or from any other faith? NO, I made all these conflicting religions to test your ability to think on your own. You qualify for becoming eternal slaves!"

Then God will turn his head to all the non-believers and smile while saying:
"Please follow Einstein to the project of a better universe!"

  • It's a children's ...

It's a children's book. It's supposed to be fun and it doesn't teach spells or anything, but it does teach some very christian morals. Like love being the strongest force in the universe and that everyone is precious in (even though he is not directly mentioned)God's eyes. I know it's your opinion, but I was just saying that's what I like to read because I enjoy it.

  • I think it is wrong ...

I think it is wrong to kill and I think many people, such as yourself, are intolerant of what we believe. I barely read the bible, but you know what, I think I can kind of see what God wants of me and that's not violence and lack of moral. I'm not tolerant, though, of people like you. People who think that people with religions are fools and think they know more than they lead on. Try respecting others and practicing tolerance, I think you'll find that other's will respect you greatly for it. ^^

  • Not to be rude, but ...

Not to be rude, but when you try and get someone to convert to Christianity, it's best not to shove the fact that they're going to hell in there face. No one likes a religious 'freak' who insults them. In I wasn't a Christian, I doubtless wouldn't want to become one because of comments like that.

  • The Book does tell ...

The Book does tell a lot of stories with violence and lack of moral. But look closely...who does violence? and who lacks moral? NOT CHRIST. you can read the Bible from cover to cover and all you will ever read about Christ is dying on the cross to redeem us..for us, who live in violence and who lack moral. Dont judge the Book by a couple of pages or stories..read the whole thing and study it..only then will you know.

  • Christians seem to ...

Christians seem to get their level of moral from a book depicting an ancient society of violence and lack of moral!

God is Santa Claus for adults, except he is violent. It's great that only the good old Santa Claus is coming to town :-)
