Their first major hit single was "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" in 1965. Produced by Phil Spector, the record is often cited as one of the peak expressions of Spector's Wall of Sound production techniques. It was one of the most successful pop singles of its time, despite exceeding the standard length for radio play. Indeed, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" remains the most played song in radio history, estimated to have been broadcast over 8 million times to date. A little known fact about this song was that Spector utilized Sonny and Cher as back-up singers

  • Such a classic. ...

Such a classic. Class and natural talent of this calibre is really quite hard to find these days, which is tragic. I love my metal and my hard rock, but there's just something missing from music past this era. It's one of those things you can't quite name, but you know exactly what it is when you hear it. Does that make sense to anybody else? Ah well, it made sense to me.

Great, great song by two very talented individuals. Thanks for the upload.

  • It might be, but ...

It might be, but Peter Green's Black Magic Woman has got to be getting close ... as, I believe, in Europe alone it gets 2 million air strikes each year. This includes both the Mac and Santana version, as the royalty under either goes to Peter -- well, it goes to his fucking attorneys who are in charge of looking after him. Now there's about as clear enough example of a misapporpriation of funds as could ever be!
