It appears to me that Voskul was out of position and leaning into the Nebraska player. If the foul came quickly, that was the right call. The latter part of the play was, in part, caused by Voskul's poor position. It surely looked a lot worse from Lil' Knight's position than it really was.

Too bad Steve Wellmer is out for the year because he's one of the best refs in the Big 12. Lot of bad reffing going on yesterday it seemed like. Blake Griffin got away with a handful of travels against ISU and Greg McDermott nearly got T'd up near the end when he finally had enough with the crappy job the officials were doing.

It's about time a coach freak out on these losers. I'm getting fed up of the HORRID officiating in every single Big XII game. They pick the team they wanna give the calls to beforehand and nothing changes their mind.

It didn't look like a flagrant foul on Balham at all.

You can hear the whistle at the two-second mark; pause it and you can see the Balham has his arm across Voskuil's chest and is pulling him backward. The only thing V did was grab on once he was going down to try to stay on his feet.

Even if he was thrown to the ground after the play had been whistled dead, that should still be a foul on Balham.

If the referees would have got the call right in the first place none of this would have happened.

I'm saying he doesn't do those things. That's one reason the team is pretty bad right now. That, and it's his first year as a coach and he only has about half a recruiting class that belongs to him right now.

I don't see how you can say that. Cause, the Texas Tech basketball team is horrible. If he did do those things, the team should be pretty good.

He is going to take a lot of crap "being like his dad", but if more people were like him AND his dad, this world would be a better place.

Yep, he learned from daddy to not cheat, abuse recruiting guidelines, sacrifice his school's academic integrity for the sake of on-the-court success, or his put up with crap from officials.
