When will people learn that the president really doesn't have much influence; the government is configured of several branches and the president is just one of said branches. Would you imprison the entire population of USA if you could be sure that way they'd be safe from terrorist attacks?

To answer your question, I'd rather sacrifice my own life and a handful of people in my vicinity at the time than everyone else's freedom.

eyelaserspwn, I'm more worried by the bullshit propaganda of fear and terror being spread by the government. They big the threat up to more than it is to promote a climate of fear under which they can pass liberty-quashing tyrannic laws. More importantly, there's no smoke without a fire. The western world is getting its come-uppance, a reversal of the policy of not negotiating with terrorists is the most likely solution.
