  • Dude metallica did ...

Dude metallica did not sell over 100 million albums by 92. You aren't understanding the point. The point is that metallica was NOT THE MUCH BIGGER BAND AT THAT TIME. gnr by 1992 already sold over 70 million albums , after 1996 metallica has sold est 45 million albums NOT including greatest hits and or live albums. Gnr died in 93. This tour was not done last year this tour was in the beginning of the nineties. Metallica was not the much bigger band. Now do That math.

chinese democracy is NOT selling more than Death Magnetic! CD has sold about 2 million worldwide, while Metallica has sold near that in the U.S. alone! Face it...in America, Chinese Democracy bombed and bombed hard!

  • and yes, they didnt ...

and yes, they didnt originate in San Fran but they recorded their first album their where i consider that to be their origin. And if you refer to my last comment, Metallica has won 7 Grammy's, sold over 100 milion albums world wide, and had their past 5 albums debut at number 1 consecutively. In addition, Appetite was sold by a Major Label while Metallica was sponsered my a small label, yet they managed to sell 3 million albums of kill em all. hmmm do the math!
