Working off of film from a '60s era MLB All-Star game, this animation recreates Juan Marichal's dramatic pitching delivery. Marichal's post foot swung through and actually carved out a foot-long divot in the turf (10 feet from the rubber!) causing this particular delivery to appear somewhat awkward at the very end. At least, awkward for him...probably scary for the hitter.
