Ip Man (2008)- Ip Man Vs Sifu Liu

The fights are not pointless; each leads to another event in the movie. The movie might not be a good biopic, but who cares? People use historical figures to tell all sorts of stories to entertain, which can be found a lot in cartoons and movies. It's not an issue only if you make it out to be.

be honest, as a martial art movie, this is pretty good. but, this movie makes absolutely no sense as a biography because I believed all of the events in the movie probably never happened to him (sure, the historical events are true). another thing is all the plot devices in the movie are kind of dumb. because first half of the movie has to do with this whole north martial art versus south partial art. 2nd half has to do with some funky japanese verus chinese plot

I caught the movie yesterday and it was really awesome. There were a couple of times when the audience just started clapping. Mostly cos we were amazed at how fast Donnie could punch. Anyways, this scene shows just how modest Ip Man is. =)
