    Most cars can out drive bikes on a road course. It's common knowledge. Bikes don't have as enough tire to road contact patch as cars hence takes turns a lot slower. But in a straight line...that's a different story.

    Yes cars are better in corners. (testing suggest better into corners and bikes possbily better at apex and out of corners, BUT the difference in corners in a non downforce car is insignifcant compared to the difference in speed on the straights .

    BTW i own a R1 2002 (after a 750 ZXR "ninja" 2000, a 1100 "GSXR" 1993, a 750 "GSXR" 1997 and a 1000 "GSXR" 2001), i kinda know what i m talking about.
    Its all about the guy that drive, but "into corner" 2 wheels cant compete against 4 wheels.
    After that, due to the low weight, the bike is faster and can spot faster also.

    In 05 road&track did some testing. Prof drivers/riders : a tricked up Nissan skyline with Hoosier autocross slick tyres. A stock c-5 corvette with slicks. A Kawasaki zx-10 with ohlins susp. & road-race tyres. A stock zx636. on 200ft skidpad.

    i wouldnt say a motorcycle can outturn a car.but in bike magazine (feb i think). the had a lotus elise v an R6. car was faster INTO the corner (because you could scrub speed off as you were turning and the guys riding the bike were not rossi and stoner). bike was faster at apex and out of corner. Kevin schwantz in also did a comparison in a mag a few years back of covervette c6 vs gsxr1000. in some corners bike was faster into/apex/out of corner.

    I'm still not convinced that a motorcycle can out-turn a car. I don't doubt that a motorcycle can very easily out perform a car... There are usually places where one type of vehicle will outperform others. AWD > RWD in dirt. RWD > AWD on grippy surfaces. FWD > bicycle on the commute. What's the fastest non-downforce equipped car around that track?
