    The poeple are hunting down the vampire, the girl is walking around the city at night, she is terrified of the vampire which sets off an alarm for the hunters. She later discovers that she is in love with the vampire so becomes one to try and save him from the hunters. The darts explode, and in most stories Vapires can't be exposed to certain lights. Don't quote me, this is my explanation and I'm most likely wrong. :3
