    If your DVD burner supports DVD+R then yes you can use it but if it only supports DVD-R then thats what you want to use. It depends on your specific dvd burner.

    physically look at the front of your DVD burner it will show it on there. Or on Windows go to my computer right click and you'll see your DVD drive which should show what it is. On MAC to to About This Mac and click on MORE INFO and view Disc Burning it will show what burner you have installed.

    As long as Toast 9 interface remained the same as Toast 8 it would be. Select Video tab then Video_TS folder as your selection and in the lower left hand corner make sure to check off Fit-To-DVD video compression.

  • Toast 9 is not FREE ...

    Toast 9 is not FREE unless you Pirate it which I won't do nor help with. Once you do have a valid copy of roxio it will do the compression for you so that your dvd movie will fit, just by selecting Fit To Disc.

    I have not used Toast 9 but I do know in the past if you have the divx playback installed that is part of toast it has caused it to quit which was fixed in version 8, but not sure on version 9.

    I'm not sure I really understand what you mean, but if you are referring to a dvd you already burned then can you add or remove a video from it that can only be done with DVD-RW disc but dvd movies are finalized when burned so no you can not do that.

    Use "full disk extraction" with the uops for the full DVD with menus. Burn only the TS folder and compress to fit in toast. use video TS folder in toast. take the uops when ripping.
