List established by the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) in 1994.
From ASCE's website: "As a tribute to modern society's ability to achieve the unachievable, reach unreachable heights, and scorn the notion of "it can't be done," in 1994 ASCE sought nominations from across the globe for the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. The chosen projects pay tribute to the greatest civil engineering achievements of the 20th century"

By Ireass00 [Affiliate User] 1196428484 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThanks. Thought the list was familiar. Still one has to wonder why they put the CN tower up there. The sears is just as tall but way more impressive if a bit ugly.

By itapua [Affiliate User] 1196228856 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveCN tower should NOT be on the list. The sears would make more sense if you want a tall structure with a tall antenna. In fact the Sydney Opera house would be better. Also replace the Brazilian dam with the three gorges that thing is HUGE!

By tesroz [Affiliate User] 1195820632 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe golden gate is a cable suspension vehicle, pedestrian, and bike bridge, the forth rail is a cantilever rail, about all they have in common is that they're bridges. If you mean the forth ROAD bridge, which is also cable suspension, it opened 27 years later, soooooo yer still wrong.

Yes vikings lived in canada, settlements and outposts have been found, you don't build an outpost without staying in it. In the comment about romans I was correcting skwinkle's sloppy inference that they've only found "Roman articraft.(this because Roman educated these barbarians)".
