Goldfrapp perform the oneirically depressing song Horse Tears live at the Shepherd's Bush Empire during the Felt Mountain tour in 2001. Concert encore and finale. This is probably my favorite out of the DVD. Extracted from Wonderful Electric DVD 2, copyrighted to Mute records

  • I don't think ...

I don't think Goldfrapp are "trying" to recapture anything. Felt Mountain was really sophisticated, more classical instrumentation and singing, but with Black Cherry and Supernature thay aimed to create two sexy, campy, 80's electro pop albums and they succeeded.

If the tempo was changed and you had some more instrumental backing this could be the perfect Bond song...
It would change the entire meaning of the song though, meh.

  • To be honest I'm ...

To be honest I'm not a Goldfrapp fan. I loved Felt Mountain and then with Black Cherry I was like "what the fuck...". Supernature though...THAT was a slap in the face. I thought Seventh Tree would redeem them, but ALAS it did not. It's not bad but...bleh.

yeah i didnt think Seventh Tree sounded anything like Felt Mountain or any of their other albums!!! While 7th Tree is my least favorite album, after listening to the CD like 20 times on my iPod i have grown to love it.

  • Well, I always ...

Well, I always mention Felt Mountain when I talk about these guys. I love Goldfrapp and the music they do, I have all their albums - and yes, I enjoy them all. But no matter how hard Alison and Will try, Felt Mountain still remains their best album yet.

  • LOL Felt Mountain ...

LOL Felt Mountain Felt Mountain! yeah well I didn't mean it in a literal way. I think it's back to the "let's make soundtracks for people" thing that Will always talked about, I see Seventh as the gay western score we all wanted to hear :P , but whatever, that's just me ;)
