The viral RNA is pulled out to show that it is transcribed to DNA, and then all of the nucleotides in the DNA are shown. The last part of the animation maps the regions of the RNA/DNA that encode for specific proteins, i.e. one segment codes for the envelope proteins, another for the core, etc.

    How interesting to see what's been living inside of me from 1970 to date. As a genotype 1 HCV infected, I am beeing treated now. My doctor's is up to date with whatever research progress achived worldwide. I've been given no promises this time either, and I am now on my second one year treatment.
