Hushtar sounds just like violin, but when it was invented by Uyghurs there wasn't existed violin. Thats why scholars belive that violin was originated from Turkic instruments. Originally it was called Qushtar. In Uyghur language Qush=Bird, Tar=String. Shape of nightingale is carved on it's handle, that's why it called like that. Now it's called Hushtar, Hush=Pleasant, Joyful. This is just a slight change of pronunciation.

Qalun is one of ancient Uyghur musical instrument that was invented around 10th century, it has an incredible sound!!

  • however, it is NOT ...

however, it is NOT a mixture, it is Uigur music. If it is a mixture, it would be with the Altaic Turkic cultures, not with chinese.
