Joaquin Phoenix Retires Quits Acting in Extra Interview

Joaquin looked pissed off when the reporter said he seemed as tho as he was kidding

Considering Joaquin always took the time to avoid E! because of what they did after River's death, I find it surprising that he chooses them to give the "exclusive" to.

It does look like they may be kidding and if he is serious about it then good luck to him.
They would get so bored talking about the same sht all the time.
He also sounds wasted... really really wasted.

and as for comments about his being jerky....i dont know, but he and casey affleck act lke that in every interview they're in...kind of mumbling and looking like they badly want to leave.

i love how afterwards the reporter breaks character and looks around him like "wtf was that???" and casey affleck just flees.

just because he learned a few chords on the guitar doesn't mean he should quit acting completely, i mean what if his singing career doesn't work out.. then what will he do?? ha haha i bet he will come back to acting and deny he ever said he was done for good haha!! actors are too funny with some of the hasty decisions they make! pendejo!!

what the HELL!!!! he is kidding right?? I dont know why he would throw away his talent as an actor and do music... doesnt make sense. This is the worst look I have seen of him.. he is either HIGH of his nut.. or totally smashed (and he said that he gave up drinking???) mmmmmmmmm

Wow, I am going to miss him. He was in one of my favorite movies, Ladder 49. Good luck with the music business Mr. Phoenix. Even though we will probably see you in a movie again someday....

There was nothing wrong with the reaction of the journalist. Joaquin was with Casey...could've been a joke. It's E! for goodness sakes.

The interviewer was way out of line there! Did you see how pissed Joaquin looked when he started laughing! He did seem to be slurring his words slightly, didn't sound like he usually does!
I just can't believe it, he's one of my favourite actors, he is just so talented! He'll be missed in the film industry but I'm at least grateful for the films he's already done and look forward to the music coz I just loved the stuff from Walk The Line.

The interviewer was a total jerk. I have been a fan of Joaquin since Clay Pigeons, and the guy is very complex. He was being serious and he had always said he would eventually quit acting. There are ways you can express yourself musically that you just can't do as an actor. I look forward to any album he does and expect it to be just as astounding as his acting always tends to be. The interviewer was out of line with how he responded to Joaquin.

This is horrible!! First of all, Pheonix sounds so ....drunk. And the interview is a freakin jerk! Why is he laughing? That guy is so getting fired, or at least I hope he is. And music?? Going from one form of stardom to another never works, Pheonix, whether from acting to musician, or vice versa, it just doesn't match. Weird, and lame

Comments on him being a dick are ridiculous. Either hes kidding or hes seriously quitting, regardless he shouldnt be laughed at. The interviewer was unprofessional in his demeanor. Casey didnt want to comment on something that Leif (joaqin) is doing, its not his place. What ever he does, God bless him, he did River justice. I cant wait to hear the music.
