Ive been a fan of IndyCars since the 70s--My favorite racing series before '96, and now unified, Im giving it another chance. I REALLY feel the women are good for the sport--I wish Sarah got the quality ride she truly deserves. Classy person! I like many drivers including Sarah, Danica, and am curious at what Milka is capable of. Grew up watching AJFoyt, Unsers, Fittipaldi. Women in racing is a very important development for IndyCar--and Sarah deserves major success!

Everyone says Danica is such an "aggressive" driver....then why does she finish in 8th place or lower every race? Sarah has always been the more talented driver....if she had Danica's car, she would have more than one race won by now. I'm so glad she has a sponsor now so she can really show what kind of driver she is!

Well, the good news is that Sarah will have a ride for Kentucky and Chicagoland. Dollar General will be her sponsor. Hopefully, she will have more races next season.

I agree 110% here. Sarah Fisher is a driver that you can't help cheering for. She put her heart and soul into getting this car to Indy and she was exceptional in qualifying 21st and she was running solidly when this incident happened. She saw that TOny had run high and so she checked up a little and was in the middle of the track at the exit of turn 3 when suddenly TK's car speared right into her. I wish her all the best and if I had a lot of money, I would invest it in Sarah Fisher Racing.

Okay - anyone who can say that accident was somehow "Sarah's fault" needs their head examined. Was she slower than the 'team' cars that spent 10 times what she did on each car? Of course ... That's why she did everything she could to get out of the way when they approached. Please note that there were a dozen cars even slower than she. If you want to see S-L-O-W ... please look at the piece of crap Dreyer/Reinbold sat Milka Duno in. Even Buddy Rice now admits what crapola he's being given.

It was so much her fault, Tony Kanaan almost paid for her damages in full.

I am so sorry for her. She tried stock cars, and went back to indy cars, and her welcome was very dissappointing. She deserves to be with a top-dollar team in either Nascar on Indy Cars.

NASCAR's spec CoT is hardly helping the small teams. Costs are only going up in NASCAR (top team = $20,000,000 per year). Non-spec racing is what made indy car racing great. More variabled come into play when non spec tires, brakes, chassis, gearboxes, enter the race. Spec parts just shifts the cost to other areas.

Tony Kanaan (& Andretti Green) prove to be a class act as well..Fisher last week got an unexpected boost from Andretti Green Racing. AGR officials donated an underwing to the team, a car part that costs about $18,000.
Said of AGR: "It was a racing accident. This just speaks to the type of person Tony Kanaan is." Kanaan also put a logo from Fisher's sponsor Milwaukee-based Direct Supply on his car during Sunday's IRL race at Milwaukee- just to Help Sarah !

Meanwhile, while she was in the #3 stock car - guess who was bringing in the new sponsors.

Sarah seemed like a woman of integrity and humility when I met her at the Stockton races. She made time to sign T-shirts for children and talk about her plans with the adults. Sarah is shy in front of the camera and as sweet as a child. It seemed like each race had some equipment failure while less experienced male drivers got the newest equipment.
BUT SHE NEVER COMPLAINED! And neither did I, because I was busy admiring her spirit and perseverance.

Personally - I'd rather see everybody on the same skateboard ;-) ...
While that's not entirely possible - restrictor-plate racing such as NASCAR's Daytona and Talladega are some of the most exciting races in sports ... but meanwhile F1 can be downright boring.

I've been cheering & promoting Sarah for nearly ten years now, and with the exception of a few guys who just like to put women down, I have never heard of Anyone who didn't like and admire her - Especially after you meet her in person.

I remember Sarah from Richmond a few years ago. She came in where they were having a BBQ and answered questions from the fans. She's always been a favorite here. I wish her all of the best.

Y'know, I had a simple question a couple of years ago. When many people who were damned smart (like the entire Unser family) said Sarah was twice the driver Danica was - When Ms. Danica in her cute 'hottie' bikini moved over to Andretti Green, why didn't Rahal/Letterman *immediately* hire Sarah to replace her ?
Could it be because Sarah had a brain ? ... and/or wasn't obsequious ? Please ... you tell me.
