Spielberg himself said basicly that 'the lost world wasn't the movie we set out to make' or something like that...michael crichton co wrote the first one, TLW was all Koepp -who is okay at action but not realistic science fiction like the chaos theory stuff or the prions

People who read the book first and watched the movie second will hate the movie version and wished the movie stayed its coarse. People who saw the movie first then read the book wont like the book.. Lets just leave it be and let the people who havent read the book enjoy the movie the way it is.

Ignoring the book version and turning one of the few movies to be both a blockbuster and intelligent science fiction into a watered down summer pop corn flick based purely on action is the worst idea in the history of great movies with bad sequels.
