    Thanks for your reply. It is really nice to receive comments from the others. I didn't meant to say Chinese Instruments or musics are at a higher level than Chopin ( or western musics). I just want to say without superficial melody we can also achieve the highest level of music. And i think all types of music are at the true highest level if our hearts are pure. For those people with non pure heart, even with great superficial melodies(no matter chi or west musics nowadays), they are not good.

    I agree that you shouldn't put emphasis on a superficial melody, but there is no such thing as one true highest level of music. One genre of music is certainly not better than another. They are simply different. How can you say this music is on a higher level than Chopin for instance?
