One of the lovely bits about the Scandinavian culture is their great appreciation of victimless humour. The Germans often choose to poke fun at someone in their jokes, as they have done here. Not only is this film unfunny, it's not even true! Scandinavians celebrate midsommer very differently as depicted here, and those of us who have repeatedly participated (I'm from the US)consider the occasion truly magical. Scandinavia is the single MOST civilised place on Earth.
