Hyenas Kill Lion.

Ive read H.Kruuks book and you are right, there is a recording on how 5 hyenas kill a fully healthy prime male Lion. Lion was mauling Hyenas matriarch and 5 Hyenas came back and landed some nasty bites on his limbs, Lion didnt back of and got further more injuries, they didnt kill him on place, he managed to escape but later that day died.

Trully amazing! Hyenas do have the Ability to do it when they work together. Male Lion are made out of flesh afterall, if it can bleed you can kill it :P

I love Hyenas, but they are more of Cowards to be honest. Because what most people dont know is that Hyenas have a huge advantage to overpower Lions at any moment and have the Ability to just with 5 Hyenas wipe out any Male Lion.... yet you will see some Clans of around 20-30 Hyenas often run away / avoid a Male Lion.

Cowardness or maybe its just Respect towards Male Lions, maybe its both or maybe its just the simple fact that they dont want to fight because all they care about is food?

Hyenas dont only have the ridicilous biteforce, but specialised teeth for bonecrushing (because they eat and digest bones aswell).... Anyways, YES, they can brake any bone that can fit in their mouth... source: Wikipedia...

And i wont even mention the Pachycrocuta and Dinocrocuta (Extinct Spotted Hyenas) that were 200-500 kilos and had a bite force of 10.000 lbs of pressure and ate big cats (Male Lions etc) for breakfast everyday.....

this was a young lioness ,and there were heaps on hyenas , i dont think they would habe performed as well against an adult male lion

well maybe a baby elephant, but not an adult since elephant bones have a huge diameter which would take many bites to break in half, unless ofcourse you mean a toe or tail bone?
