Before 1947 'india' was dozens of indepdendant countries until forced together by the british in the 18th century.
And your claim that indians and Pakistanis have alot in common is incorrect. Indians are descedants of the ancient Dravidians wheras Pakistanis are Indu-Aryan and formed a nation in the stone age and then onto the indus civilization. Pakistanis have no more in common with indians then we do with our Chinese neighbors.
