February 24 Two persons, including one woman, were arrested after they were found guilty of making repeated ransom calls to a Patiala based family by using the name of Babbar Khalsa International. The police have recovered the ransom amount of Rs 1 lakh from the possession of the accused.
Poonam and Ashok Kumar were arrested following a complaint by one Vinod Kumar Grover, a resident of Suigra Mohalla in Patiala, who was threatened by the accused.

SGPC, senior counsel said the High Court was wrong in saying that Sikhs were not a minority in Punjab. Going by the definition of Sikh in the Sikh Gurudwaras Act, only around one-third of the electorate of the state belonged to the community.
"There are several sects who believed in living gurus who could not be considered as Sikhs according to the Act and if it is accepted then Sikhs are clearly a minority," referring to Nirankaris, followers of Dera Sacha Sauda and Radha Soami.

How stupid is the Sikh leadership, today the Hindustani supreme court supported the decision that Sikhs are not a minority in Punjab (which is true 51%). By the twist of hindostani reasoning the decision means the privately funded education by the SGPC (donations by Sikh panth) will be open to hindos. Where is the justice in this, time and time again Sikhs are being screwed, will they ever wake up.
