people always say, o taekwondo S**ks , it would never work in a real fight, you would lose with a simple leg sweep, THIS IS THE SPORT!!!! the traditional training is completely different form the sprt training, all your trying to do in the sport is score or stay conscious :-D, try something before you say stuff about it

Your comment isn't entirely accurate. You just have to find the right instructor, and you have to train hard. I've personally known two guys that were in a fight against 12 guys, and those two guys won. Both of them are from the same TKD school. Unfortunately, they are from Vietnam. I don't benefit from this comment so I am telling the truth.

there was a guy doing tkd in the mma. He was knocked out in 20 seconds. TKD is, now a sport, no longer is it a martial art.

Look at how those guys are jumping, a simple leg sweep would flip the guy.

TKD cannot in the UFC because UFC is a ring fight, it is a ground fight. If u want to be the best in UFC, you must have Jujitsu base.

To use TKD or any other complex martial art, you have to take it for a couple of years and then break it down to fit your fighting style. The reason martial arts like boxing are so effective is because boxers have only a small set of moves, and practice them constantly, so that when they fight, they do their moves almost like second nature.

Thats because it takes too long to learn and use it effectively. How many people do you see in MMA claiming to do TKD, Karate, Kung fu, or any other type of complex (and usually complete) martial art? Something like Muay Thai doesnt take too long to learn and use effectively because it has a couple of moves compared to TKD or Kung fu. ITs not that TKD or other MA cant compete in UFC, its just they take to long for people to learn, break them down to be used effectively.

Those knockouts must hurt alot.

a good friend of mine is amazing at TKD and he has thrown 2 successful spinning kicks in street fights,it was game over.i not tryin to hate on anything i respect TKD a lot, its the practitioners i some times don get along with.Not once did i mention the art.i dont just see sport fighting i see a martial art with years of perfection, tradition and honour,u aint the high and mighty that u think u are jus becuase u do TKD don mean u invented it. do us all a favour and stop posin

...I don't see what the big fuss is all about..the majority of the time, people should keep their opinions to themselves when online because all it ever calls for is stupid arguments on a youtube video that was meant to be enjoyed...I don't do TKD yet but I plan to start once I have the time and money, so yeah...that's my two cents...
