She does look a lot like Mrs. Roosevelt, doesn't she? Funny, I never noticed that before. Don't know if the resemblance was intentional.

Of course, Woody is riffing on Groucho Marx in that bit. Check out the scene in "Love and Death" where Woody's character Boris is challenged to a duel of honor -- he's practically channeling Groucho.

He also does a lot of Bob Hope schtick in "Bananas" and "Love and Death," doing a variation on Hope's lovable-coward routine.

When he puts his hat over the woman's face- is she meant to be Eleanor Roosevelt? And when he's carrying on about it being a travesty, sham etc- isnt that a nod to the Msrx brothers?

You think "Dumb & Dumber" and the "Naked Gun" movies are funny -- but THIS is over the top?

"Miss America" really looks like a Miss America -- or an astronaut's wife!

This entire sequence plays like something out of a Marx Brothers picture -- especially the bit where Woody questions himself on the witness stand.

Everything is so over the top and unfunny. It's slightly funny when he interrogates himself in the witness box. I think this style was done much better by the Naked Gun movies.
