The last time Nick, Bob and John sang together on a stage! FC8, August 18th became the last time the original Kingston Trio performed together, here singing "Where have all the flowers gone". There were also some hilarious jokes from Bob, as always!

  • The Kingston Trio ...

The Kingston Trio went through several incarnations, the first with Shane, Reynolds, and Guard; the next with Stewart replacing Guard. There were several others until Shane, George Grove, and Reynolds brought the group back to speed. Today it is merely a tribute group, without any of the originals. Guard and Stewart have passed, Shane has heart disease, and Reynolds had a stroke. They are the finest American music group ever, bar none!

  • Given the context ...

Given the context of Stewart's passing this song is even sadder than it would be otherwise. The Trio was superb.

This is great, but not the oringinal Kingston Trio, John Stewart took over for Dave Guard(the original Banjo player) in the early sixties(61, I think) When Dave went his own way. Thanks for posting, put up some more!
