  • the depression in ...

the depression in the 30s was because of bad credit. like today people were given items and money they neither had nor would have. We are told give blacks it all even though they cant afford it. We have credit ratings for a reason. now on to dwight d eisnhower he created jobs in the form of construction it was called the interstate system. the late 70s was a bad economic time also can you contribute that one to regean thank not. these bubbles have existed for a long time Its not the GOP.

  • The Us flourished ...

The Us flourished in the 50's because of a conversion of mechanised manufacturing to consumer goods from milirary production, hugely benefiting from the liberalisation of the workplace allowing women a bigger role.

As a basic rule of thumb, economies should go with what theyre good at. If someone can produce raw materials better and cheaper then you let them and refocus your economy.

So we pay more, after slavery, cotton went up, we survived,we didnt have a depression until the 30s.

When marginal tax rates were 90% under, dwight d eisenhower, we flourished, back in the 50s and 60s,after tax cuts were given to the rich by reagan we started to have these bubbles that alway burst, remember 1983(reagan)remember 1992(its the economy stupid, george hw bush) and cant forget george w bush that basically beat john mccain twice.

  • US manufacturing ...

US manufacturing needs steel. IF US steel is expensive then US goods cost more. so they import foreign steel so goods are cheaper. Yes the steel workers lose out but they then retrain in industries the US can compete in. If the US were to protect the steel industry goods cost more and that means US exports go down and that costs jobs. The alternative is import taxes but then other countries do likewise and everything costs more for everyone.
