Fall Plowing with a John Deere A

it's to wet to be plowing ( damn it boy )

Nice to see someone else doing some real work with a John Deere 2 cylinder. My dad and I have a '46 A and the 14th 720 ever built. The A we're getting restored and the 720 has just been out spraying this weekend. 2 springs ago the 720 was pulling a one-way getting ready for planting.

Most beautiful music in the world is the sound of that 2 cylinder John Deere. Makes goose bumps run up and down my spine when it really starts digging!!!!

nice tractor, i got to pull 3 16 inch bottoms, right after they were harvesting, at the BSOT. anways, 3 bottoms with a 1937 JD D, first gear, and had the front wheels lifting when i hit hard spots. i went through 5 gallons of gas real quick.

Yes, I'm pulling two 14" bottoms in 2nd gear. The tractor was built to pull two 14s and set up properly will handle the load nicely [and last for years] Thanks for watching.

Yes, two 14" bottoms plowing in 2nd gear. video makes it look like I'm going faster than that. 3 i/2 miles an hour give or take a little. Glad you enjoyed watching

Next time you plow with it, run a lap or 2 in 3rd gear and really make it talk. :) It does look like you're going faster than 2nd. LOL

second gear, camera makes it look faster than it is. Also makes the field look larger. I can pull it in third gear, but it's too hard on the tractor, and me
